Scoliosis is a 3 dimensional deformity of the spine with a curve greater than 10 degrees. It affects between 1% and 3% of the population. Not limited to scoliosis bracing, we design and source a wide range of spine braces for post operative and trauma management.
Scoliosis Bracing
A significant number of braces produced and provided by Zortex Orthotics are involved with the management of scoliosis and kyphosis. Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine and kyphosis an excessive convex curvature of the spine in the thoracic region often referred to as roundback.
The two designs preferred by Zortex for the management of spine curvatures are The Boston Brace and The SpineCor Brace.

THE BOSTON 3D BRACE

The SpineCor System
In 2008 Zortex Orthotics introduced to Australia The Spinecor System which claims to be the first truly dynamic scoliosis brace. In managing the spine curvature a corrective movement is performed specific to the curve classification. Moderate tension from elastic bands allows the repetition and amplification of the corrective movement throughout everyday activities.
COMFORT PLUS BRACE
The latest evolution of the SpineCor brace is the Comfort Plus Brace claiming to be the ultimate Flexible Scoliosis Treatment of choice for children and adults. Utilising patented SpineCor Corrective Movement Principles this intimately fitted body contoured brace provides both greater comfort and control.
